The Best Holiday Makeup Trends for Winter 2021

The last two years have certainly taken a toll on our beauty routines - but finally, makeup is making a major comeback. Nothing like that boost of confidence that comes from an amazing eye look or a gorgeous lipstick. (Seriously, doesn't that feeling just elevate your mood?)

We're looking forward to finding inspiration in new trends - especially now that the Holidays are almost here - so we're so excited to share some must-try trending makeup looks for Winter 2021 with you and how you can achieve these looks.

1 - Metallic Smoky Eye

Smoky eyes never go out of style but this is what we like to call the Smoky Eye 2.0: Metallic Smoky Eyes. The metallic shimmer just transcends this classic eye look and certainly takes it to a different level.

How to:

Apply a brown transition shade to your crease and a black shadow close to your lash line. Blending well to achieve a smoky look. With your fingertip, apply a metallic shade to your lid. (If you have hooded eyes, apply the metallic shade in the center of your lid to create the illusion of a more open eye) Finish off by tight-lining your upper and lower waterlines with a black liner pencil.

For an extra pop, apply some of the metallic shade on your lower lash line and inner corner. Or place a crystal if you want to go extra.

2 - Plum Lips

Dark lips are always the mood for winter but this year plum lipstick is trending for the holiday season. The fun thing about this trend is that you can your preferred finish and still be on point.

How to:

Line your lips first to define your shape and add volume. Fill in with your favorite lipstick. If you want to play around with finishes, add gloss for a shiny finish.

3 - Glitter Accents

What are the holidays without some sparkle? Bring the sparkle to any holiday party by using glitter accents with your makeup.

How to:

Create a simple look and add glitter accents. If you want something simple, keep the glitter to your eyes. If you're looking for something extra, have fun by placing glitter in creative places such as your brows, the high point of your cheeks, or lips.

PS Keep it safe, remember to stick to cosmetics glitter.

4 - Crystals

Like glitter, crystals are definitely a way to bring sparkle to any holiday makeup look and add to the festive decor of any party. What we love most about this look is the simplicity because we know what it feels like to want to look great but be short on time!

How to:

Apply your favorite look. Use eyelash glue (PS. remember to spot test if you have sensitive skin) and apply crystals where desired. Since you'll be busy having fun at the party, be mindful of which areas your place your crystals in so that you can focus on having a great time.

5 - Natural Glam

A glam look doesn't always have to be over the top. Switch up your Holiday Glam makeup look with something softer.

How To:

Go for a neutral eye look. Pair your eye makeup with matching monochromatic lipstick and blush. The result is a subtle look that just whispers holiday glamour.

The holidays are all about sharing and having a great time. Which one of these looks are you excited to try?
